Meet Erin

You’re looking for a wedding photographer that won’t make you feel awkward in front of the camera, who won’t forget all the details, miss the first kiss, dress nice at your wedding and be a nice person? Having over a decade of experience I understand what is most important to each couple. I know what angles are important, how awkward you may feel in front of the camera (or nervous about it), nervous that you won’t know what to do, afraid that your details won’t be captured…rest assured I’ve seen it all and taught myself to get all the best angles and all the details. I understand that you have a vision for your day and you want it to feel fun and effortless AND capture every single detail. That is what I’m there for.

I always joke that what I should really put on my website is that I’m actually the one who helps button up your dress because I have buttoned up so many dresses. Or that I am honestly the one who puts so many boutonnières on the groomsmen because it always seems that no one is around (who knows how) to put them on when the time comes. Photography is SO much more than just simply taking photos. Your wedding photographer is the one person who is right by your side all wedding day long. To be honest, your wedding photographer (even if it isn’t me) is the closest person to you your entire wedding day. It should probably be someone you like!! Also, it should probably be a nice person who understands your vision, your goals and what you want out of your wedding day (photos). It’s a very fast paced day and your wedding photographer should essentially be a second brain for you. You might feel like you don’t want to take those extra portraits or family photos, however later you will regret that choice. It’s nice to have someone there who can think for you in the moment and know what you really want.

About Erin

Erin began her career as a fine art wedding photographer in 2014. She started her career in Arkansas and was voted best photographer in Arkansas several years in a row. She has been published in Arkansas Bride magazine every single issue the moment she began her career. She recently moved to Dallas Texas as she travels all over the country (and world) capturing weddings. She has been featured in Style Me Pretty, The Knot, Martha Stewart, Inside Weddings and was even on television on CMT photographing a wedding.

She began her love for photography for her love for the arts. She’s studied fine arts all the way from the age of 12. Her love for painting brought her all the way to the love of photography. Her style of photography has been described as dreamy, editorial and timeless. Many couples love that her work feels so natural and comfortable while feeling like pieces of art at the same time.

Erin is inspired by fine art, movies, international travel, high fashion, nature and interior design (she’s completely renovated and designed two homes…one even made the cover of a magazine). She’s creative in every way beyond just photography and her passion shows throughout. Her artistic nature and creativity gives her the vision to see each couple’s wedding day through their eyes and give them an individualized expeirience and tell their story uniquely.

Erin is a mother to two beautiful children Penelope and Emerson.

Erin found her way back to painting and currently paints and is truly inspired by all things in the arts. This is something that inspires all her work and fuels her passion! www.erinwilson.art
